Unauthenticated root command execution via ipaddr injection
Published Nov 19, 2025 · Updated Nov 21, 2025
Command injection in QVidium Opera11 firmware 2.9.0-Ax4x-opera11 allows remote attackers to execute commands as root over HTTP. The /cgi-bin/net_ping.cgi handler passes the ipaddr GET parameter to a system command without neutralizing shell metacharacters. No authentication or user interaction is required, and a crafted request grants full control of the appliance.
