Browser script execution via unescaped pagination output
Published Jan 6, 2026 · Updated Jan 6, 2026
Cross-site scripting in Joomla! CMS 3.9.0 through 5.4.1 and 6.0.0 through 6.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute browser scripts. The pagebreak and pagenavigation plugins render pagination output without HTML escaping, so crafted content is interpreted as markup. Joomla's assessment requires high privileges and passive user interaction; exploitation alters displayed content and exposes browser-accessible data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
