Authenticated command execution via unauthorized JSON-RPC operations
Published Aug 24, 2026 · Updated Aug 24, 2026
Incorrect authorization in KAON PG5298A before 3.0.82 and PG5298B before 4.0.82 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. The JSON-RPC interface accepts crafted requests for privileged operations that the GUI does not expose, including system-file reads and command execution. Access requires a high-privilege account on an adjacent network and grants the ability to read router files or run commands with the firmware's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
