Unauthenticated shortcode execution via unvalidated action value
Published Dec 9, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Code injection in SevenSpark DTX 5.0.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary shortcodes via a public WordPress action. An unauthenticated action passes an insufficiently validated value to WordPress's do_shortcode function, which evaluates attacker-selected shortcode syntax. Exploitation requires the plugin to expose that action through a reachable WordPress site; effects are limited to the behavior and permissions of installed shortcodes.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
