Stored script execution via unsafe gallery attributes
Published Dec 9, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in GalleryCreator SimpLy Gallery 3.3.2.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts into gallery output. Album-related blocks, shortcodes, and REST endpoints save unsafe attributes and render them without sufficient output escaping. Contributor-level access and a privileged user’s interaction are required, after which the script runs in a visitor’s browser and can alter displayed content or act with that visitor’s session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
