License-state manipulation via missing nonce validation
Published Dec 31, 2025 · Updated Dec 31, 2025
CSRF in Post Snippets 4.0.11 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter plugin license state through an administrator's browser. The Freemius _activate_license() path accepts the fs_action request parameter and processes license operations without validating a WordPress nonce. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to submit a forged request; the demonstrated consequence is unauthorized license activation or deactivation, not site compromise.
