CVE-2025-63020Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Contributor-level stored XSS via disabled KSES filtering

Published Dec 31, 2025 · Updated Dec 31, 2025

Stored XSS in Wayne Allen Postie 1.9.73 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts into WordPress posts. The plugin removes WordPress's content_save_pre wp_filter_post_kses filter, so contributor-supplied post content is stored without normal KSES sanitization. Exploitation requires Contributor-level access, the Classic Editor plugin to be active, and a user to view the crafted post, where the script runs in that user's browser context.
