Authenticated file write via create_time path traversal
Published Jun 19, 2025 · Updated Jun 23, 2025
Path traversal in OpenBMB XAgent 1.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to write uploaded files outside the intended workspace. The /conv/community handler passes attacker-controlled interaction create_time into os.path.join without validation or a containment check. A self-registered account and token are sufficient; a traversal value redirects the interaction workspace and uploaded content to another server path.
