Unauthenticated file upload via unguarded editor endpoints
Published Oct 28, 2025 · Updated Oct 28, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in the DNN Platform CKEditor Provider before 10.1.1 allows remote attackers to upload files without authentication. The provider installer omits web.config authorization rules for FileUploader.ashx and Browser.aspx, leaving both endpoints open to anonymous requests. The default configuration is exposed, but the published impact requires user interaction and is limited to unauthorized file placement, not code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
