Arbitrary file write via unsanitized attachment filename
Published Jun 19, 2025 · Updated Jun 23, 2025
Path traversal in SuperAGI 0.0.1 through 0.0.14 allows remote attackers to write files via crafted email attachment names. EmailToolKit's download_attachment function joins part.get_filename() to the cleaned subject directory without validating or normalizing the filename, then writes the decoded payload to that path. Exploitation requires an email-enabled agent to process the crafted message, and the payload is written with the service process's filesystem permissions.
