CVE-2025-62787Network attack vector

Sensitive data disclosure via incorrect attribute index

Published Oct 29, 2025 · Updated Oct 29, 2025

Buffer over-read in Wazuh manager before 4.10.2 allows remote authenticated users to read sensitive memory via crafted agent messages. DecodeWinevt passes the child-loop index j instead of the attribute-loop index l to child_attr[p]->attributes while resolving an mdebug2 argument, causing an out-of-bounds heap read. Exploitation requires an enrolled or compromised agent, and disclosure requires analysisd.debug=2; otherwise the over-read does not emit the affected memory.
