Item duplication via playerless storage update
Published Oct 27, 2025 · Updated Oct 27, 2025
Item duplication in Phoenix616 InventoryGui 1.6.1-SNAPSHOT and earlier allows remote authenticated users to duplicate stored items. During a double-click collect-to-cursor action, simulateCollectToCursor calls setStorageItem without the clicking player, triggering a null dereference after the cursor update and leaving storage state unsynchronized. Exploitation requires a plugin GUI that uses GuiStorageElement and a server with experimental Bundle items enabled; the consequence is unauthorized inventory growth.
