Browser script execution via unescaped Job Form fields
Published Oct 27, 2025 · Updated Oct 27, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in Frappe Learning 2.39.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run HTML in job-page viewers' browsers. The saveJob path persisted string fields other than description without escapeHTML, so the Job page interpreted stored markup instead of text. An authenticated user must submit a crafted job, and another user must open its page, exposing that viewer to script execution and data access within the application's browser origin.
