CVE-2025-62771Public exploit

Administrator password replacement via unvalidated cross-origin request

Published Oct 22, 2025 · Updated Oct 22, 2025

Cross-site request forgery in Mercku M6a firmware through 2.1.0 allows remote attackers to change the administrator password. The /app endpoint accepts a cross-origin POST invoking mesh.config.admin.update with an attacker-chosen password and no CSRF validation. The attacker must reach the router over an intranet, and a victim browser must submit the crafted request; success replaces the administrative credential.
