Administrator escalation via unrestricted permission assignment
Published Nov 20, 2025 · Updated Nov 20, 2025
Incorrect authorization in SOPlanning before 1.55 allows remote authenticated users with team-management rights to gain administrator access. The user-management tab permits the user_manage_team role to assign administrative permissions to any account, including the caller, through individual rights editing and Bulk Update. An account already holding that delegated role is required, and exploitation grants administrative control over the application.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
