CVE-2025-62724Public exploitNetwork attack vector

File disclosure via symlink-swap archive race

Published Nov 20, 2025 · Updated Nov 21, 2025

Path allowlist bypass in Open OnDemand before 3.1.16 or 4.0.8 allows remote authenticated users to read unauthorized server files. PosixFile validates every directory entry before archiving begins, but FilesController later dereferences a user-swapped symlink without rechecking its target against OOD_ALLOWLIST_PATH. The flaw requires the file-browser allowlist and directory downloads; the attacker can read only files permitted by the attacker's UNIX account.
