CVE-2025-62723Network attack vector

Authenticated service interruption via QoS reference cycles

Published Oct 24, 2025 · Updated Oct 24, 2025

Resource leak in FlashMQ before 1.23.2 allows remote authenticated users to consume broker memory with queued QoS messages. QoSPublishQueue links neighboring QueuedPublish objects with mutual shared_ptr references, so destroying an expired session cannot free undelivered packets. An account able to create persistent sessions and leave QoS messages undelivered can repeat the cycle to exhaust memory and interrupt the broker service.
