Out-of-bounds read in wav2swf in SWFTools 0.9.0 through 0.9.2 allows local users to crash the converter via a crafted WAV file. After the WAV reader accepts a malformed short file, wav_convert2mono reads one byte from beyond a global buffer while converting samples to mono. The attacker must have local execution access and supply the crafted file; the demonstrated consequence is an AddressSanitizer-detected abort of wav2swf.
