Unauthenticated script execution via unneutralized search query
Published Jun 19, 2025 · Updated Jun 23, 2025
Cross-site scripting in Luna Imaging 7.5.5.0 through 7.5.5.6 allows remote attackers to alter rendered page content via a crafted q value. The /luna/servlet/view/search endpoint returns the q query value in generated HTML without neutralizing script markup, allowing browser-side JavaScript execution. No authentication is required to supply the value, but a victim must open the crafted search request; the demonstrated consequence is page-content modification in the victim's browser.
