Stored XSS via unescaped drilldown filter values
Published Oct 18, 2025 · Updated Oct 20, 2025
Stored XSS in Wikimedia Foundation Cargo before 3.8.3 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through crafted wikitext. CargoDrilldownPage::printFilterValue returns stored table-field values without HTML escaping, causing malicious markup to render in drilldown output. Exploitation requires attacker-controlled wikitext in a Cargo field; rendering that drilldown output executes the payload in the browser session.
