Authenticated command execution via crafted firmware archive
Published Jun 19, 2025 · Updated Oct 15, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in FLIR AX8 1.46 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to write files through the firmware updater. The /upload.php handler accepts a user-supplied tar archive and extracts executable content without rejecting dangerous file types. Access to the update interface is required, and a crafted archive can place executable content on the appliance and lead to command execution.
