CVE-2025-62618Network attack vector

Credential theft via executable HTML attachments

Published Oct 31, 2025 · Updated Oct 31, 2025

Stored cross-site scripting in ELOG before 3.1.5-20251014 allows remote authenticated users to steal credentials through HTML attachments. The attachment response serves attacker-uploaded HTML as active content, so a victim browser executes it under the ELOG origin when the file is opened. Exploitation requires an authenticated uploader and another user to open the attachment; the script can obtain usernames and password hashes carried in ELOG requests for replay or offline cracking.
