Browser-script execution via unsanitized room parameter
Published Oct 22, 2025 · Updated Oct 22, 2025
Reflected XSS in VDO.Ninja 28.0 through 28.3 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through a crafted room parameter. The control.html script reads room from the URL and concatenates it into body.innerHTML without encoding, causing the browser to parse attacker-supplied markup. Opening the crafted control page runs the payload in the visitor's VDO.Ninja browser context, enabling session-data access or actions as that user.
