Heap buffer overflow in mlx::core::load() in Apple MLX before 0.29.4 allows attackers to crash applications via malicious .npy files. mlx/io/load.cpp constructs the declared 118-byte header as a null-terminated string, then reads header[34] without checking the shortened string's length. Exploitation requires an application to pass an attacker-controlled NumPy file to load(); the reported results are a crash or a 13-byte heap disclosure.
