Unauthenticated credential reset via web interface manipulation
Published Jul 24, 2025 · Updated Jul 25, 2025
Missing authentication in Network Thermostat X-Series Wi-Fi Thermostats allows remote attackers to reset user credentials. The embedded server treats manipulated web-interface elements as authorized credential-reset actions without authenticating the request; CISA does not identify those elements. Reachability requires LAN access or Internet exposure through router port forwarding; a successful reset grants full administrative device access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
