CVE-2025-62594Public exploit

Process crash via unchecked zero CLAHE tile dimensions

Published Oct 27, 2025 · Updated Oct 27, 2025

Denial of service in ImageMagick before 7.1.2-8 allows local users to crash the process through zero CLAHE tile dimensions. CLAHEImage in MagickCore/enhance.c fails to reject zero tile widths or heights before unsigned pointer-offset arithmetic and division or modulus operations. Triggering requires control of CLAHE parameters or a very small processed image and user interaction; the demonstrated consequence is a process crash or sustained resource exhaustion.
