Stored XSS via unescaped shortcode attributes
Published Jun 20, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Joost de Keijzer Euro FxRef Currency Converter 2.0.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts. The currency_shortcode handler writes user-controlled from, to, between, append, round_append, and to_style attributes into generated HTML without context-appropriate escaping. Contributor-level access permits payload storage in a page, and the script executes when that page is viewed in another user's browser context.
