CVE-2025-62554

Local code execution via type confusion

Published Dec 9, 2025 · Updated Apr 16, 2026

Type confusion in affected Microsoft Office editions allows attackers to execute code locally without privileges or user interaction. Office accesses a resource using an incompatible type, but Microsoft has not disclosed the affected component, object type, or crafted input structure. A crafted local input must reach Office processing; successful exploitation runs code in the Office application's security context.
