Authorization bypass in Apache Airflow 3.0.0 through 3.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to overwrite protected configuration records. The bulk-create endpoints for Pools, Connections, and Variables accept the overwrite action and upsert existing records after checking CREATE permission without enforcing UPDATE permission. A valid account with CREATE but no UPDATE permission can modify existing pool, connection, or variable data without gaining broader administrative rights.
