Stored XSS via crafted category-set input
Published Oct 23, 2025 · Updated Oct 23, 2025
Stored XSS in affected Six Apart Movable Type editions allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via crafted category-set input. ContentType Management accepts attacker-controlled input on the Edit CategorySet page, stores it, and later renders it in another user's browser; the exact missing encoding or validation operation is undisclosed. Exploitation requires ContentType Management privilege and a second user to open the affected page, exposing that user's browser session to script-driven data access or actions.
