Code execution via ZipSlip project extraction
Published Oct 23, 2025 · Updated Oct 23, 2025
Relative path traversal in AutomationDirect Productivity Suite 4.2.1.9 and earlier allows attackers to execute code through a crafted project. Its ZipSlip project extraction accepts relative path components and writes project content outside the intended directory. An attacker must first alter a project and cause an operator to open it on a Windows engineering workstation; the published record also lists associated PLC CPU software versions as affected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
