Contributor-level stored XSS via widget attributes
Published Jul 8, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Essential Addons for Elementor 6.1.19 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through widget attributes. The Calendar and Business Reviews widget renderers accept attribute values without sufficient input sanitization and emit them without adequate output escaping. Contributor-level access is required; injected scripts run when a user visits the affected page and execute in that user’s browser context.
