Stored XSS via unsanitized media metadata
Published Oct 17, 2025 · Updated Oct 17, 2025
Stored XSS in ClipBucket V5 through build 5.5.2 #145 allows remote authenticated users to run script in video or photo viewers. Video tags, Movieinfos fields, photo titles, and photo tags are stored without adequate sanitization and embedded in viewer pages as executable markup. A regular account with edit access is required to plant the payload; opening the affected page can expose page data or send unintended requests under the visitor's session.
