Account takeover via unvalidated reset-link hostname
Published Nov 18, 2025 · Updated Nov 19, 2025
Host header poisoning in Piwigo 15.6.0 allows remote attackers to steal a password-reset token through an emailed malicious link. password.php constructs the emailed reset URL from the unvalidated HTTP Host header, so a supplied attacker domain receives the token. The attacker must know or guess an existing username or email address, SMTP must be configured, and the recipient must click the link before account takeover.
