Memory disclosure via unchecked EMF offset
Published Mar 17, 2026 · Updated Mar 17, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in Canva Affinity before 3.1.0 allows context-dependent attackers to read process memory via a crafted EMF file. The EMR_EXTTEXTOUTA parser uses offDx to access the intercharacter-spacing array without verifying that offDx plus Chars times four stays within recordSize. Exploitation requires a Windows user to open the file; the documented outcomes are memory disclosure and an access-violation crash.
