User redirection via unchecked Codespaces redirect target
Published Oct 15, 2025 · Updated Oct 15, 2025
Open redirect in Reflex 0.5.4 through 0.8.14 allows remote attackers to send users to external URLs via /auth-codespace. The generated script assigns the redirect_to query value to an anchor href without validating its origin or scheme, then programmatically clicks the anchor. Exploitation requires user interaction and a first-session browser state, while route exposure requires GitHub Codespaces or a production environment with its forwarding-domain variable set.
