CVE-2025-62378

Authorization bypass via unresolved command aliases

Published Oct 15, 2025 · Updated Oct 15, 2025

Authorization bypass in CommandKit 1.2.0-rc.1 through 1.2.0-rc.11 allows local users to execute restricted bot commands. The Context.commandName getter returns the parsed alias directly instead of resolving it to the loaded command's canonical name, exposing the alias to middleware and command execution contexts. Low-privileged access to invoke a configured message-command alias is required; slash and context menu commands are unaffected.
