CVE-2025-62372Network attack vector

Engine crash via unchecked multimodal embedding shape

Published Nov 21, 2025 · Updated Nov 24, 2025

Denial of service in vLLM 0.5.5 through 0.11.0 allows remote authenticated users to crash multimodal inference with malformed embeddings. MultiModalDataParser validates only tensor dimensionality, allowing an incorrect hidden-dimension shape to reach embedding scatter or model validation and terminate the engine. The affected path requires API access and submission of precomputed multimodal embeddings; the bounded consequence is an inference-service crash.
