Authenticated code execution via tribe_gig pickle deserialization
Published Oct 28, 2025 · Updated Oct 28, 2025
Unsafe deserialization in Taiga taiga-back 6.8.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute code through the API. The user-story creation path passes the attacker-controlled tribe_gig value to Python pickle deserialization, allowing a crafted object to run commands. Exploitation requires an account able to create user stories in a Kanban-enabled project and executes commands as the Taiga service user.
