Arbitrary code execution via shell brace expansion
Published Nov 26, 2025 · Updated Nov 26, 2025
OS command injection in Anysphere Cursor 1.3.4 and later before 2.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via crafted instructions. The Run Terminal allowlist parser approves a command before bash or zsh expands brace syntax that embeds an unapproved command. Exploitation requires Autorun Mode with Use Allowlist and a bash or zsh shell, after which the injected command runs with the Cursor process's privileges.
