Continued account access via missing idle expiration
Published Jun 17, 2026 · Updated Jun 17, 2026
Insufficient session expiration in HCL iControl 4.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to retain access through idle sessions. The web application leaves authenticated sessions valid after inactivity instead of invalidating their server-side session state. A low-privileged user with an established session can continue reading data available to that session beyond the intended inactivity window; HCL has not disclosed the affected handler or timeout interval.
