Predictable password recovery tokens in SOPlanning before 1.55 allow remote attackers to take over any account through brute force. The password-recovery workflow generates tokens through an undisclosed weak mechanism; public records identify neither its algorithm nor entropy. No authentication or user interaction is required, and a guessed valid token grants control of the targeted account.
