Unauthenticated denial of service via unbounded file combination
Published Oct 23, 2025 · Updated Oct 23, 2025
Resource exhaustion in Liferay Portal and Liferay DXP allows remote attackers to interrupt service through ComboServlet requests. ComboServlet accepts query-string module paths and retrieves every requested resource before enforcing a per-request file-count limit, allowing an oversized combined response. No authentication or user interaction is required; repeated requests consume server and network resources without affecting data confidentiality or integrity.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
