Comment disclosure and modification via unchecked identifiers
Published Oct 13, 2025 · Updated Oct 14, 2025
Incorrect authorization in Publications in Liferay Portal and Liferay DXP allows remote authenticated users to view or edit publication comments. The GetCTComments and UpdateCTComment resource commands used attacker-supplied collection or comment identifiers without checking collection-view permission or comment ownership. An authenticated account able to send crafted Publications portlet requests can read or overwrite another user's comments; the published impact excludes service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
