CVE-2025-62240Network attack vector

Stored XSS via unescaped calendar resource names

Published Oct 9, 2025 · Updated Oct 9, 2025

Stored XSS in Calendar in affected Liferay Portal and DXP releases allows remote authenticated users to inject script through profile name fields. CalendarUtil.toCalendarBookingJSONObject inserts localized calendar resource names built from first, middle, or last names into JSON without HTML escaping. A low-privileged account can store the payload, but another user must open the affected calendar event for the script to execute in that user's browser.
