Credential disclosure via unredacted configuration logging
Published Oct 31, 2025 · Updated Oct 31, 2025
Sensitive data exposure in Apache APISIX before 3.14 allows attackers with log access to read plaintext basic-auth credentials. Configuration-processing paths serialize route, consumer, and etcd response objects without redacting encrypted basic-auth fields, causing usernames and passwords to enter error logs and configured log sinks at INFO or DEBUG level. Exposure requires basic-auth use, INFO or DEBUG logging, and access to local or forwarded logs; no integrity or availability impact is reported.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
