Integer overflow in the X Keyboard extension in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 through 10 allows local users to corrupt memory or crash X. XkbSetCompatMap stores values in unsigned-short XkbCompatMap fields without checking whether the sum of supplied values exceeds the type's maximum. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access to submit a crafted XKB request to the X server; the documented consequence is memory corruption or a service crash.
