CVE-2025-62190Network attack vector

Call and message injection via unchecked widget origin

Published Dec 17, 2025 · Updated Dec 17, 2025

CSRF in affected Mattermost 10.11, 10.12, and 11.0 releases allows remote authenticated users to initiate calls and inject messages. The Calls plugin's handleServeStandalone handler serves standalone/widget.html without validating the Referer origin, so a cross-origin page can load the widget under an active session. Exploitation requires interaction with a malicious webpage or crafted link and an authenticated Mattermost session; consequences are limited to call initiation and message injection.
