Authenticated account creation via missing authorization check
Published Nov 21, 2025 · Updated Nov 21, 2025
Incorrect authorization in UserRegistration in LogStare Collector 2.4.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to create accounts. The handler accepts a crafted account-creation HTTP request from a non-administrative session without enforcing the administrator-only authorization gate. A valid non-administrative session is required, and exploitation adds a product user account; published sources do not specify that account's assignable privileges.
