CVE-2025-62175Network attack vector

Real-time update access via incomplete suspension checks

Published Oct 13, 2025 · Updated Oct 14, 2025

Improper privilege handling in Mastodon allows remote authenticated users with disabled or suspended accounts to receive real-time updates. The streaming token query omits the account suspension state, while suspension fails to publish the Redis kill event that closes existing streams. An account and OAuth token are required; exposure is limited to continued message receipt through streaming, without access to other APIs.
